Tree C participates in the subsidized innovation project “Virtual games as challenging education method” for the ROC West Brabant college, departments of aviation and maintenance education. Based on VR4MAX a Pre Flight Check (PFC) simulator is currently being developed where pre flight maintenance inspections can be performed and trained in virtual reality.

In March 2008 Holovis provided a completely immersive virtual reality 3D display experience for the internal Sony Sales Conference in Barcelona and recently they completed what has now become the world’s most advanced CAVE virtual reality solution in the Automotive industry for Jaguar/Landrover.

Christie Digital Systems Japan presented VR4MAX at their spectacular booth at the IVR show in Tokyo. Featuring a 3D theater with passive stereo demo’s and VR4MAX demonstrations and the new VR system HoloStage®-MINI, the CDSJ show attracted many visitors.
The HoloStage®-MINI showed an impressive active stereo multiprojection (front and floor) with tracking and will be available as a package with VR4MAX Extreme.

Tree C is happy to announce a new VR4MAX reseller! VR9 is now official reseller for the South Korean market. VR9 started its business as 'Eversoft' in 1997.
They have been working with various clients and institutions such as Korean Electric Power Corporation, Korea National Housing Corporation, and Korea Institute of Design Promotion. The company name was changed to 'VR9' in 2003, and VR9 is aiming to become more versatile and a competitive company in VR contents developing and a supplier to the peripheral device market. We are confident that VR9 will extend the VR4MAX service and support for our Korean customers.

VR4MAX Release 5.5 is now available at the downloads page. Release 5.5 supports the latest 3ds Max versions; 3ds Max 2009 and 3ds Max design 2009. For these 3ds Max versions also the Archvision RPC plugin version 3.14 is supported. Furthermore R5.5 contains some bug fixes and fixes that improve real-time performance.
